Gettin' over the Hump

Have you ever heard of the term TOFI or skinny-fat? The acronym stands for "thin on the outside, fat on the inside" and it's a person who looks slim and is probably a healthy body weight, but has fatty tissue hugging their organs. They may have a little tummy and suffer from things like pre-diabetes, Type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol.

Dr. Mark Hyman recently shared an interview where he mentions that a skinny-fat person with Type 2 diabetes has a increased risk of death than an overweight Type 2 diabeticThis fascinates me because we all know someone who eats junk, is skinny as all hell, and we're left wondering WTF? Well a high metabolism or slim build can't save you from a shitty diet and here are a few hump links on the matter.
